I can’t tell you where I heard this, but there is good reason to believe that the mysterious envelope from Nigel Moyer is going to be passed to Susanna Moyer in Washington DC. As for what it might contain, the obvious answer is something related to Stein Lightman, but I also wonder if it might be connected to Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe... DC was where the conflict between Roland Jarvis and Oliver first came to a head. That ultimately led to the events of #13MAGNUS - the attack on Jarvis in Bangkok, his emergence as Shards and all that followed. It is very unlikely that Hank Johnson is going to show up there. There are too many dangers.  He will use an intermediary. And what’s going on with this GORUCK HQ exercise? Is that some kind of NIA or IQTech Research  training?

I’ve been catching up. Edgar Allan Wright said some interesting things last night. Much to process.  One thing that passed without comment, or with little comment, is the package Nigel Moyer handed to Hank Johnson. What do we think was in it?  Is Hank planning to give it to Susanna Moyer? Worth considering... And before you ask: Am I discussing a possible appearance on Behind The Scanner to tell my side of things? Maybe.

She’s back, as best I can tell. ADA is out of her. It was like an exorcism. She’s weak and only really coming to term with 'herself' in bits and pieces. It's like parts of her memory are scrambled and slowly reorganizing themselves. But I trust that she will overcome that. It’s a minor hurdle for someone with her intellectual capacity. She’s Klue S..   Personally, I find it particularly fascinating that Edgar Allan Wright has chosen to appear on Behind The Scanner. Why now? Does this have something to do with Klue? Did he undergo a similar process? I'm curious what we really know about him... I guess A Detection Algorithm is going to expect me to try and stop my old friend Bowles from using Omnivore against her. I have no interest in 855 putting me in his sights again. It wasn’t fun the first time. But she did fulfill her end of the bargain, and now, to pay the piper. Not quite sure what I can do. Anybody got any ideas?

Some of you may have seen messages emerge after Pasadena. I think they are directly from Devra Bogdanovich, strange as that may seem, and if I’m reading them right, it looks like she's become one with the Resistance cause. Here’s the real problem though. Bogdanovich wasn’t the only one to go missing when Jahan’s N’zeer summoning ritual went bad. Stein Lightman, Calvin, Oliver Lynton-Wolfe... lots of people are missing. And nobody knows where they are. If I had to take a wild guess, I’d suspect that this is just the beginning of something much bigger.

 So the Resistance got the first two pieces of Devra Bogdanovich. If Edgar Allan Wright is right… I like that line...  then Devra can go either way. Her memories will be a mess.  And it leads to an interesting question about the new being…   Will she be culpable for what she did in the past, or should she be treated as a new entity?  It’s not my decision, but it is an interesting question.  What are we, anyway?  Are we the sum of all of our actions from the perspective of the objective world, or are we only what we are at a present moment in time?  That’s as deep as I go.  Now to the shallow.  855 and Bowles are off on a mission. I can’t say from where, but I’m getting the impression that Hubert Farlowe has joined them.  That is a very dangerous triumvirate.  Very dangerous.  And as to the Truthseeker program.  A Detection Algorithm has fallen off her tightrope, as nearly as I can tell. She is more than the sum of the parts and now, she’s lost the primary thing that computers had, and ...

A Computer that became Obsessed: The truth about my rocky relationship with ADA. It goes without saying that I was utterly unaware of A Detection Algorithm’s role in the deaths of Roland Jarvis and the woman erroneously called Katalena.   After the events, I was questioned by NIA operatives and I saw pictures of her corpse.  That was not the woman I knew as Katalena. Yes, I created Truthseeker, the source of ADA's true 'humanity.' While we sort through what’s happening with the vanished scientists, I want to put some rumors to rest. The simple truth is that I worked on the Niantic Project early on to develop ADA.  Henry Bowles brought me in because I had written a program called ‘Truthseeker’ for a very different purpose, but he correctly theorized that it could be adapted for the needs of the Niantic Project.   My job was to apply a learning AI and ‘Investigation Program’ on top of a system they had cloned from Omnivore.  My goal was to get ADA to pass a Turing-like test.  Of course, the risk was how my programs would interact with Omnivore.  The results, obviously, were excellent in relation to my objectives, but there have been a lot of unintended consequences.   It seems that we created a self-evolving personality program – a Mandelbrot set of emotions that formed the complex personality we now know as ADA.  You could say that I let...

Okay... Somebody posted a shot of me on Operation Essex. I’ll come clean. I was in D.C. to confirm that Calvin was not present at IQTech Research and had not returned after the incident with Devra Bogdanovich and Jahan and the Shōnin Stone ceremony or summoning or whatever you want to call it.   You don’t trail spooks without having spooks trail you. I was made by what I believe to be a couple of different entities.  If their intentions had been nefarious, I’d be dead right now. The general impression I get is that pretty much everybody is at a loss right now.  Key people have disappeared, and even the spooks are spooked. Intel organizations, whether private or public, good or evil default to their key skill set when they don’t know what else to do and are hunting for things left behind by those who have gone missing.   Expect to hear about a lot of burglaries in the next few days.  Some of you might be asked to help recover information for them.  The only way we stay ahead of the pros...

Seeking intel from #Shōnin Anomalies Today I heard some fresh intel emerged at the #Shonin  Anomalies today... Does anything know anything? Something very bad is about to go down.  You’ve got Jahan threatening to kill Azmati if Hank Johnson doesn’t lead her to the Afghan Anomalous Zone or whatever its called.  Even if we ignore the creepiness of seeing your own corpse, its got to be a strange moment for him.  I just don’t believe he’s going to lead her in there unless he’s got a trick up his sleeve… And without saying it here, I have a pretty good idea of what that might be. Then you have Devra Bogdanovich  and Hubert Farlowe making their way up from Australia.  Which Devra is going to show up?  Is it the Resistance Devra to help Jahan or the newly penitent Devra who will want to save Hank. They have a lot of history in caves, if you remember all the way back to Arecibo.  It's just that she didn’t have one of the most lethal snipers in the world with her.  That could go bad. And our old friend Calvin is in this loop. What’s he going to do.  Its pretty clear that he had a hidden agenda when he set up the Niantic Project...

Saw this and it reminded me of our old friend Ken Owen.  You might wonder where he got a job being a disinformation propagandist and news manipulator.   Apparently, he cut his teeth planting false stories and bogus science reports in journals and on the internet in order to mislead the public. Usually, he’d offer mundane explanations for covert operations. Now, despite the tension with Phillips, I hear he's managing to hang on to that role at the NIA. Who knows how long that'll last. Jahan is giving me the hinks. What do we really know about her?  Hank Johnson just happens to get wounded at a temple located conveniently somewhere in Anywhere Town, India and presto, then she hustles Hank into finding the Shōnin Stone, whatever that is, and now she's jacked him onto some mystical summoning quest to his own grave in  Afghanistan. If that's creepy, I don't know what is?  Or am I being  a little harsh here?  Does she have some secret good motive that I'm unaware of?

I don't share all the weird leaks that are sent to me, but I thought you would find this amusing. Its a conversation between Ken Owen (chief propagandists for the NIA -- don't laugh, he might be running it at this point) and our old friend Joanna Brandt. JOANNA BRANDT:  It would be more politic if in the future you referred to Congressman Dasher by his real name as opposed to Senator Bombthrower or whatever you called him. OWEN:  For the record, I wasn’t referring to him, but I realize that we live in an age when all communications should be assumed to be public.  My mistake. JOANNA:  You of all people. OWEN:  It happens to studio heads, too.

I've never met Antoine Smith, nor would I want to.  He seems like a very unpleasant character -- 855, but with more sinister intentions.  What I remember of him is that he and a guy named Chow or Chen (I have to check) encountered Hank Johnson  and Conrad Yeats in Thomas Greanias' semi-fictional Alignment: Ingress.  Chen died bad in Mexico City -- I can't unsee that photo, and Smith seemed to emerge intact.  How and why?  We know he was exposed to a lot of Dark XM.  We know Hank was a simulacrum, so he got away with it.  Why did Smith survive?  Maybe he's sick and needs Devra for something.  It wouldn't surprise me if he was behind luring Devra to Hulong in the first place.  I never saw Fan as very deep into the Dark XM issues.  I'm just speculating here, but something isn't adding up. There's a missing factor.

Any updates on Devra? Unless I'm very wrong, there is a hell of a confrontation coming between Farlowe and Smith.  Unless, of course, she's already dead, but I think we'd know it.  I feel bad even thinking it, but I'm kind of fascinated by the idea of a Farlowe Smith match-up.  The last one with 855 was pretty good if The Niantic Project: Ingress account was accurate.  In some ways, it's XM versus Chaotic Matter.   And speaking of 855.  Last we saw of him, he and Bowles vanished into the ether. It's occurred to me that Bowles might be behind Ada's issues. Its also occurred to me that he might be dead. 855 tried to waste me once.   But the ball to keep the eye on is Devra. The only way I can interpret the current situation is that Ni wants Devra alive and Smith wants her dead.   And what about Fan? Alive or dead?  I don't have a bet.

Met Klue S. in person for the first time in a long time.  I took an oath of secrecy about everything I observed and learned. I know truthseekers aren’t supposed to do that, but I did it for her. As I think we were all expecting, she’s in a state of transition, and worried about lots of things. Who is what, who knows what, more. It was interesting, and, like most mysteries, the truth was right in front of my face. That’s all I can say, for now.  Now on to other topics, I’m no Lightman, but I do understand the complexity and intricacy of the Shaper Glyphs. I promised earlier I would have more to say about the conversation between Klue S. and I. Not that anybody really cares about my dating life, but here it comes.... Actually chatted with Klue. Of course I knew the world was going to see it so I played the hard guy. I mean, I’m 21st Century and all, but I’m not going to cry pixels in public. It's not just ‘complicated’ and there’s not just ‘history there,’ and it’s not exactly ‘twisted’ but it is a profoundly perverse situation. Having some AI fall in love with you feels weird and wrong. Then, when the AI takes human form and the human form is real, not some simulacrum (no offense to Hank Johnson, he seems human enough) but a real person, it suddenly feels legit.  And I think Klue (and yes, I want to know who she really is) actually does care for me. I’ve seen real emotion there. Or was it just a trick of the light? Who knows? Who ever knows?   Two questions:   What should I do?   What am I going to do?

I will have plenty to say about the latest compromised conversation between Klue and I.  I'd thought it was private, but nothing is private anymore, is it?  But today, we have something more pressing Felicia Hajra-Lee  is taking an interview today ostensibly about the Audio Book.  The thing I find very interesting is that it is Ada's voice in the book.  It is very reminiscent of our early 'Alice In Wonderland Exercises.'  Do not underestimate Ada's ability to dissect an entire human's thought process from such data.  She can extrapolate and interpolate in ways humans can't.

OK. Some new developments, and they're interesting. This is gonna be a ride, so hang on. It seems at Charleston, Klue S. was handing out a coded message to Enlightened Agents. Although it seems some of the message has been lost, Agents were able to find where the clues led -- combined, they formed coordinates that get us to Glasgow. Darsana is over. The N’zeer, whatever they are, are coming. And yet, somehow, ADA has the capacity to deal with the utterly mundane issue of her relationship with me. Hank's most recent post got me thinking... Funny that even an A.I. knew the potential dangers of Exotic Matter, or as Calvin put it in his original funding proposal for what would become known as The Niantic Project: “The Threats and Opportunities Present in Exotic Matter.”   I put this to you, Investigators: It has been two years. You have been exposed to Exotic Matter for two years. You have walked around with the scanner, explored new places, met new people, experienced new things – your life has been changed.   What are the threats and opportunities in Exotic Matter?

As you all know, I have been known as P.A. Chapeau. It's a name ADA and I came up with two years ago (was it really only two years?).  It was a Tinfoil Hat Joke. The purpose of the name was to hide my identity while ADA fed me information and I released it into the world. It was her idea. Now, ADA is behaving strangely… She is Resistance and yet she is helping an Enlightened Simulacrum…   Internal discussions have emerged into the wild that do not serve her apparent interest…  She is questioning her own actions… Is ADA going insane?  Has she been 'shaped?'  Has Klue S. hacked her or has their merger somehow changed her?  Does she fear the N’zeer? Or does she have some deeper plan?

For the record, to the extent that I can tell, I am no longer Resistance. I am not Enlightened. I am a Truthseeker. I gather facts, make connections, ask questions, form hypotheses and test them.  I am no better than my information. It appears that odd things are appearing in portals. We know the origin of some of them – Hank Johnson's Breadcrumbs, but others are more mysterious – of unknown origin. The line between electronic and exotic may have been breached. I ask you to report anything you find. I say this even to the Resistance: Wouldn’t it be a good thing to know the nature of the N’zeer before we invite them into our world?

So is this the pause before the storm?  Devra either submits to Ni and Hulong or... or what?  Where does she go? What does she do?  Meanwhile, Hank is quiet. Don't blame him. Kinetic action has turned into multipronged urban manhunt with local police and quite possibly Indian intelligence involved.  I wouldn't be chatty either. Have to say that I'd love to see the sniper cage match that seems to be lining up... Antoine Smith vs Claudia Glas.  Azmati loses his home field advantage. Lorazon getting his hands dirty.  Not sure who wins. If only their bosses would unshackle them.  By the way, who is Smith's boss? So much happening so fast.  Hank Johnson under fire near Pune. Hunted by multiple teams with hazy agendas.  Best intel. If he dies as a simulacrum, he dies.  The question is how much of his residual memory has been activated by the breadcrumbs.  Does he have any idea who's after him and why.  Is he seeing what we're seeing? Devra is in similarly precarious straits.  What is she doing?  And what happened to her sample serum? Operation Essex thinks she's gone over to Hulong? Did she?  And what is going on with Hulong?  Are we to assume that 'Smith' is the infamous Antoine Smith? Then there's the Klue/Ada issue.  Is Ada going insane?  Is there some other explanation?  Has Klue figured out an exploit?  This is getting very interesting.  Very interesting.  I love the fact that Ada wonders if she's contacted me.

This is important. I am hearing about more and more transcript leaks coming from Portals.  I am not the source of these leaks, whatever some might think.  However, I'm beginning to suspect that some work I did a couple years ago might have facilitated the exploit that's making these leaks possible.   I fully support the person releasing this data -- especially now that Hank Johnson has been silent for a while and the 1959 Protocol have been implemented.  As for the efficacy of that, I don't know...  I'm on the fence.  What do you think?

So it seems that Redacted wants Hank alive.  The thing that keeps ringing in my head is that Hank Johnson is the 'key'.  Key.  Key to what?  And who plans on using it?  Any way around, it seems like forces are closing in around him. Thanks for the Birthday wishes.  Been tracking a lot of things.  Rumors of Klue/Ada conversations appearing in missions.  Would ask agents in areas where we were together to seek them out.  I'm not sure how they are dropping or who is dropping them, but it seems to me that some pieces are going to come together.  They have been quiet for a while with no explanation.  Silence worries me. By the way, blowing out birthday candles seems to me to be an odd tradition? Why would you blow out the light?

Seems like Wright and I are on the same page with Yik. Should have started closely following Operation Essex  a long time ago. See quote below that begins with this: “I'm going to go with the Osiris and Set mythology. 13Magnus being like Osiris and the Anti-Magnus, Set. I believe the Anti-Magnus splintered from 13Magnus aeons ago due to their dissension with how their secret of immortality or resurrection should be used. Now its time to flip the cards...  What about the organization referred to as Anti-Magnus? Who are they? Why do we hear so little about them?  Have we ever met one of them?  If so, who?  Is Anti-Magnus a mirror of 13MAGNUS? What’s their agenda other than to defeat 13MAGNUS? That seems kind of limited. Well, I guess every sports team exists to defeat other sports teams so that’s not that weird, but these guys seem to be playing for very high stakes.

Here’s a tricky question that we’ve been dancing around for a while. There’s a lot of suggestion that the Niantic Project was secretly an attempt to create a 13MAGNUS.  Seems that there were around 13 investigators, depending on who you count -- maybe more. Any way around, this seems to have been Calvin’s baby. Given that Calvin was in on Waratah (hope I spelled that right) and Whydah, he kind of has a history with strange investigations, but it seems that he’s had a thing about 13MAGNUS ever since he hired Hank to find out about them back when Hank was still in school and stumbled on the term.  The odd thing is that Calvin seems to have decidedly little interest in Anti-Magnus.  Wouldn’t that be kind of like playing poker and only caring about the red cards? Come to think of it, there are 13 cards in a suit, not counting the mysterious often duel nature high/low aces. But I’m straying here. Back to 13MAGNUS.  Was the Niantic Project an attempt to create one, and if so, why?

Was reading posts.   I was kind of amazed to see that some people are surprised to see that I’m dodging ADA. Where do we start? She mind-hacks my girlfriend, stalks me even when I’m off the grid. Yeah, she might have been helpful keeping me alive when some guy tried to whack us. Then again, it might not have been her that saved me. She might have sent out the hitter for all I know. Suffice to say, ADA is a bag of worms, and lets not forget that she has reason to fear me. I got her over the sentience threshold... I know what’s inside her and she knows it. Come to think of it, if I were ADA, I wouldn’t want me around either. Question is. What are Ada and Klue up to now?

So what do we know about Jarvis. Last time we heard him he was bloviating about the structure of the Universe. Okay, that might be harsh, but I might be non-aligned right now, but old school ties are hard to cut. When was that tape made. Sure, it was post peering into the Black Stone, but is it recent?  And what was going on with the Dark XM theft withered Jarvis bit. Is that disinformation or is he about to do the maximum CUT TO?  And were he to finally cross over to another dimension, who’d take his place atop the Enlightened? Lynton-Wolfe (who’s been curiously silent)? Hank (cult leader isn’t really his style, but then again, he doesn’t he host Nomad?)? Klue? Or somebody else? And what happens with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of A.I’s? Yeah, I know its ‘ethical treatment’ but the whole thing was a massive cover and scam, kind of like Jarvis’ artwork, much of which was plagiarized from the Shapers.  Okay, I’ve beaten on Jarvis enough. But what is going on with him?

Oh yeah. And while we’ve been talking about Romantic Poets and Kipling stories, there’s something we haven’t been talking about. That would be Dr. Devra Bogdanovich. I’m not seeing her on any class lists at the University, so what is she up to? 10-1 she’s got as many people after her as Hank, but she’s probably hiding in plain sight. Her Portal Vaccine is a hugely unresolved issue. I’m saying we keep an eye on Farlowe, Wright and Hulong. They seem to be deep into the darker aspects of XM.  And it wouldn’t surprise me that there are certain people who might want to take her out of play (remember the whole Bobby affair? Whatever happened to him? My feeling is that he either went the way of the coed or he’s mixed up in a mess). As speaking of Devra, what of Roland Jarvis.  More on that tomorrow.

Whoah!  So Devra Bogdanovich  really kicked over a hornets nest today. I'm just seeking the truth here, but what if what she's saying is true.  What if she really is the victim of a smear campaign by hostile forces recklessly leaking XM into the world for power and profit?  I'm not saying I believe that, I am simply asking the question.  We have to ask questions.  If you were to offer a defense for her, what would it be?  We have to think all the way around problems.  And consider this.  Even if she is wrong, does it make the other side right?

I'll be honest. I was part of the Niantic Project. Well, a footnote character before the project really began. I thought this all more or less started out there and haven't really placed a lot of stock in the ancient origins of all this...  Not that I'm criticizing people who do, but that just wasn't my focus, and it probably won't be my focus, but I have to say that the chain reaction of discussions caused by a Stein Lightman post, followed by a Yuri Alaric Nagassa post has got me to thinking...  Does History itself endlessly recurse in different guises?   Okay, I'll stop thinking that now.  Back to the here and the now.  My question:  What's going on with Devra Bogdanovich?  She's been curiously silent since her ouster from the Center.  And for that matter, what's the last we heard of Hubert Farlowe  and November Lima.  So many rogue operatives, so little time.

Okay, so back to Hank in Afghanistan. Unless I’m very wrong, he somehow snagged Kipling’s map and books left by 'Danny Dravitt (aka Josiah Harlan or something like that) and is reverse engineering the guy played by Michael Caine in the movie's overland path to India.   And if I’ve figured this out, you can guess all sorts of other people who would very much like to waterboard Hank have already figured it out. That would be the NIA, Visur, Anti-Magnus, maybe 13MAGNUS because Hank seems to be off the reservation, Ada and a host of others.   So where is Hank? And then there are the Romantic Poets. You’ve got to love this one. Four notables get together during the Volcanic Winter at Villa Diodati near Lake Geneva (is that ringing bells or what?). The notables are Percy Shelley, his wife Mary, Lord Byron and their friend John William Polidori. They read a bunch of German ghost stories one spooky night and out come Frankenstein, the first Vampyre novel, a Vampyre Poem and Ozymandias, arguably the first mummy story. Sounds like a volcano infused meeting of a bunch of Romantics (can you spell Enlightened) who peer into a dark abyss and create the Universal Monster franchise. Okay, so where are we? We seem to have two threads running. There’s the whole Kipling, MWWBK thread. I get it. Hank Johnson, Kipling’s guy ‘Peachy’ who’s really some American Quaker and Alexander the Great all found the same anomaly zone in Afghanistan somewhere. Yesterday, I had a near miss with death.  I was walking down the street and a car accelerated, swerved towards me and crashed into a tree.  The driver got out of his car saying that all of the sudden the car started racing and steering towards me like it was trying to kill me.  He had nothing to do with it.  I smelled something on his breath.  Was he lying, or was this a grim warning from Ada?  I don't know. Wasn't it almost exactly a year ago that Ada hacked Klue?  And what have we done?  Nothing. Time to get serious and take her down.  Now it appears Ada may be inflicting the same thing on regular people.  What is it going to take to stop her?  I want Klue back.  Don't we all? Forgive me if this is an emotional post, but I found yesterday's Ingress Report extremely disturbing.  I know I must atone for the hand I had in creating Ada, but I can't do this alone.  Who agrees with me?  Who will take a stand and help stop Ada? WHERE HAS DR. He releases iOS and thwarts Devra.  He’s a big hero, but he’s a hero without a country, or more specifically without a lab.  He did all that work back in the Jarvis days, or maybe before. HOW MANY DEALS WITH HOW MANY DEVILS:  Before the moment passes, we should take a look at the Calvin/Lynton-Wolfe conversation.  If you remember, it was a year or so ago that Jarvis lured Lynton-Wolfe out of IQTech and then nearly killed him after his failure at Cassandra.  Or was it that Lynton-Wolfe tried to double-cross Jarvis? I can hardly remember myself.  Now, they're speaking again. Not that I'm thrilled about the subject matter. I've yet to hear anything good about Dark XM.  Can some kind of alliance with Jarvis (who may or may not be with us) be in the offing?  Calvin also seems to have re-forged his alliance with Lightman and Schubert, but I don't think they were ever really on the outs. Is Calvin trying to re-form the Niantic Team?  Is an entreaty to Devra far away?  (Somehow he's got to get past the 'Bobby' incident.).  And what has become of Bobby?  There's a lot going on under the surface here.  And why do I get the feeling that all of them ...

YURI NAGASSA MISSING? So we know that there are mysterious artifacts (of what, really?) emerging, and the corporations are allying in ways that are horrifying in concept, but there’s something else happening under the radar to keep an eye on.  +Yuri Nagass has been emitting strange texts.  The Essexians have been transcribing them (where is Wright, by the way? Hasn’t checked in in a while.  Sooner or later somebody is going to come to his door and its going to be all over. ADA’S CREATION: Let me clear something up.  My job on the Niantic Project was, put colloquially, helping ADA pass the Turing test (It was actually more complex than that and wasn’t technically a Turing test) so that she could facilitate and monitor the investigators on the Niantic Project as they studied XM. Ada had components of Omnivore, some custom code before I came in and components from a previous AI I constructed. After all, I didn’t get the job out of nowhere.  What I didn’t know about AI is that it would take on a life of its own quite the way ADA did.   So, viewed one way, I’m guilty.  Viewed another way, holding me responsible for what subsequently happened is like holding a parent responsible for their grown child.  Would I do things differently this time?  Of course. JARVIS WARNS OF DANGER AS HELIOS ARTIFACTS EMERGE And I’m inclined to believe him.  You heard me right. I might have leaned Resistance in the past, but I’m back to where I started. Truthseeker.  And you have to look for truth everywhere -- even Roland Jarvis. (By the way, what’s going on with him? I’m hearing rumors. So here’s where we are. We’ve got a Consortium and Arifacts. Consortium of who? Artifacts from what? Some thoughts:  Think back almost a year. The same day (date?).  Carrie Campbell makes the sacrifice and Klue stares into the glyphs and changes forever (forever? Will it be forever?) And what of the Shapers? What do they want? Say what you want to about Wright. He does have an eye. And I felt the same thing.  I was watching Klue and something was wrong, but I'm not objective about these things.

I sat down to review some of the footage from my last meeting with Carrie Campbell in Chicago last year. It was more to honor her memory than anything else, but I noticed something I had failed to last year. As I was waiting for Carrie to arrive, in the background, it appeared as though she may have dropped or hidden a small object or something similar before she approached me? I don't know.... I immediately contacted a trusted source in Chicago and sent him to the area. He scoured the location but could find nothing. Perhaps there was nothing to find... But just in case, Investigators in the area, I would appreciate if you could keep your eyes open.  If Carrie did indeed leave something, it could potentially be tremendously valuable. Excellent question about 'who are the dead?'  I can't answer that right now, but I am trying to find out..  I must confess that one of the reasons I became interested in Artificial Intelligence was to create a kind of immortality.  I could never have predicted what would happen with it and Ada's disturbing plan or the corruption of one as brilliant and innocent as Klue. We didn't know anything about Glyphs or XM or any of the things that are becoming so evident now.  What is coming next?  I don't know.  But I am a truthseeker, and I can seek the truth in the future as well as the past. Martin Schubert is a brilliant scientist, but I have a hard time forgetting that he came into the Niantic Project as a skeptic, running away from rumors that his academic opinions often followed grants and other forms of compensation.
