So the Resistance got the first two pieces of Devra Bogdanovich. If Edgar Allan Wright is right… I like that line... then Devra can go either way. Her memories will be a mess. And it leads to an interesting question about the new being…
Will she be culpable for what she did in the past, or should she be treated as a new entity? It’s not my decision, but it is an interesting question. What are we, anyway? Are we the sum of all of our actions from the perspective of the objective world, or are we only what we are at a present moment in time?
That’s as deep as I go. Now to the shallow. 855 and Bowles are off on a mission. I can’t say from where, but I’m getting the impression that Hubert Farlowe has joined them. That is a very dangerous triumvirate. Very dangerous. And as to the Truthseeker program. A Detection Algorithm has fallen off her tightrope, as nearly as I can tell. She is more than the sum of the parts and now, she’s lost the primary thing that computers had, and that is rigid logic.

ReplyDeleteSarah Rosen she's a person in trouble, and one with a great deal of knowledge that's pertinent to the turmoil we're in the midst of. I'd say that makes reassembling her expedient in addition to being a humanitarian requirement. It's even possible that her fracture at the hands of antimagnus will have shown her the error of her prior anti-XM militancy.
ReplyDeleteCleary her Dark XM-based vaccine that she injected on herself caused the sharding effect. Now, what that might mean, is that she will NEED XM to survive. So, her ever going quest to stop the portals might need to change if she wants to live.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if she was absorbed into the portals but the Dark XM inside of her made the shards, I wonder if the other sensitives that disappeared will need to go through the same process to come back...
If that's the case, we will need a big tank of Dark XM...
How she turns out well depend largely on who brings the shards together. Her virus hurt both factions. Her redemption, if she seeks it, would be best if it aided both. Whomever brings her back, I pray you keep this in mind.

ReplyDeleteHonestly... How the heck can anyone keep up with any of this "mythos"? I'd like to but it is way to disjointed and spread out to make any sense of especially as a new Agent. The 'communications' supposedly retrieved from the differing companies are a pain at best and the worthless Suzana Moya reports tell me even less. (don't get me wrong I like her just not the way you use her)

CONSOLIDATION. put the fracking story line in ONE place on a real TIME LINE that normal people can follow EASILY! This fragment here Piece of crap there approach is annoying at best and pathetically tedious on a good day.

ReplyDeleteOn the flip side this is another aspect of Ingress. Most people don't care about the storytelling. Or deciphering codes, going to anomalies, babysitting Shards... Ingress can be as shallow or as deep as you choose.
This reminds me of the "Clone Hitler and put him on trial" plot of the Raelians.

ReplyDeleteEither the SHA-512 hash matches the Devra bits or does not. The sharding does not matter if the parts are there. Of course wouldn't it be better for the ENL to help out?
