And then there are the Romantic Poets. You’ve got to love this one. Four notables get together during the Volcanic Winter at Villa Diodati near Lake Geneva (is that ringing bells or what?). The notables are Percy Shelley, his wife Mary, Lord Byron and their friend John William Polidori. They read a bunch of German ghost stories one spooky night and out come Frankenstein, the first Vampyre novel, a Vampyre Poem and Ozymandias, arguably the first mummy story. Sounds like a volcano infused meeting of a bunch of Romantics (can you spell Enlightened) who peer into a dark abyss and create the Universal Monster franchise. But its a lot more than that. Read between the lines and you see Recursion, Simulacrums, Osiris and the conquest of death. Of course, just like the Niantic Epiphany, the ripples spread out. Hank was onto this and planted Breadcrumbs all around the world. (Somebody mind catching me up on the ones that have been found). And, of course, these breadcrumbs lead us right back to Hank who has yet to be very explicit about what happened to him between Recursion and his mysterious reappearance at the end of Helios and his even more mysterious re-disappearance afterwards. What happened? Did Calvin just let him go? And to where? I’ll take that up tomorrow, but would love to hear speculations.
We saw footage of Hank Johnson at a forward operating base monitoring the Helios artifacts with IQTech. My guess is that Calvin rebuilt whatever base Hank had been operating out of in 2010 so there'd be a familiar point for him to regroup after recursing in the nest.
ReplyDeleteWith all of Hank's recent posts, that might clarify what happened between his recursion and the end of Helios. Also, Thomas Greanias may be the key to filling in some of those gaps, but I'm not sure if Hank has been in touch with him as of late.
ReplyDeleteYeah. My sense exactly. The Helios finale video probably came from that forward base. Calvin let him go, but maybe that was the deal. There's a lot of history there. Then Calvin tried to follow him (Jordan Mission), but then Hank knew that would be the game, too. Its like two great poker players who know each others cheats and tells.

Richard Loeb just as almost everything in scanner tech and history works in cycles, I suggest you view the overall timelines here as such, but instead of it being a uniform circle think of it as a spiral that starts long and gets shorter in it's frequencies and back again creating two mirroring circles with tiny intersecting ones between them. The 19th century romantics played a large part in reviving a lot of ancient Eurocentric concepts that echoed and parrallelled with the Colonial expansion into the indos well into the first half of the 20th Century. The Romantic movement began to fade but not the gods and poems and nightmarish ghost stories told near lake Geneva. Correlate your notes with the later works of post romantics philosophers like Friedrich Nietzsche and the Slavoy(misspelled) conferences in Geneva where Quantum mechanics and the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle found their way into the scientific community, a lot of eastern thought and myth like those being re examined like Kipling begin to start intertwining with the works of Byron and the Shelleys. Hanks breadcrumbs and his new relationship with ADA have me speculate on where all of this is going and it will not be pretty and I will hold on until more concrete details emerge before I restate what I believe is happening.
