Dr. Wright's hangout today was an interesting watch. He echoed some information that I have been been monitoring across a number of channels (although he probably got some of the details wrong -- to be expected given his mentally fragmented state). At this point it seems certain that the Researchers were turned into Simulacra at some point during the Niantic Project. This was masterminded by Calvin, although his reasons are not yet fully known. Reassembling the identities of these researchers and attempting to bring them back to this earthly plane lies at the heart of #Abaddon. Each researcher in #Abaddon has been connected to an Anomaly, and those individual Anomalies seem to be able to control how their patterns are reassembled, affecting them in unique ways (the most cursory of which one could call Enlightened vs. Resistance bias). However, it also appears that by controlling the #Abaddon series as a whole, the Factions will be able to control whether all the researchers return ...

Looks like Klue S.'s investigation in Hamburg hit paydirt. She sent me this fragment. Told me there was more on the page, but she didn't feel safe transmitting it to me at this point. I'll keep an eye out. In the meantime, do you see anything here that could be meaningful?

The other two researchers on the line this Saturday are Dr. Victor Kureze and Dr. Martin Schubert. Let's start with Kureze. He was -- at best -- really hard to have a conversation with. A first order genius, he would often forget than not everyone around him had an encyclopedic knowledge of quantum physics on speed-dial. A lot of polite nodding and trying not to interrupt him for clarity 30 times in a row would ensue. But, without a doubt, he was a genius -- probably one of the most respected theoretical physicists in the world. At Niantic, he was among the first to detect an Ordered Data Pattern present in Exotic Matter, and his research led to the discovery of what would be called 'the Shaper Mind Virus.' He died under mysterious circumstances. Some reports say Jarvis's corpse was involved, and perhaps a deadly combination of Shaper Glyphs. This weekend, the fate of 3 individuals is going to be decided. First up, Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe. There have been some new revelations that emerged in Ingress: Origins about where OLW was before the Niantic Project began, but to keep things simple, let's just start with Niantic. One thing is certain. Lynton-Wolfe is a savant (and perfectly comfortable letting everyone know he is). It seems to me as though his entire life was perfectly optimized for him to become the world's leading Exotic Matter engineer. What he discovered, almost instantly, is that constructs can emerge spontaneously from XM if the right circumstances are created. Kind of like DNA, I guess. The patterns for the XMP, the Resonator, the Portal Shield and more were always in the XM, they just had to be unlocked. And Lynton-Wolfe was a man with an innate skeleton key. I’ve been combing through Ingress: Origins and The Niantic Project Files: Volume 3  ( https://goo.gl/XV0rU5 ) and have constructed a roughly sketched picture of events leading to our current state. Alexander the Great’s conquest was the final destruction of the N’zeer in antiquity and he was quite successful. Whether he was fully aware of what he was doing or simply being manipulated by his tutor, Aristotle, is not fully clear. I think he knew exactly what his mission was... Had it not been for Thaïs making off with some Prime XM Artifacts, the N’zeer would have been forever locked out of our dimension. This was certainly her intention. Anti-Magnus was forced into a corner by Alexander's conquests, and they feigned defeat in order to begin a phase of rebuilding. Seems like a strategy that has worked out in the long run. It's becoming clear to me that the Niantic Project is coming full circle. Is it just me or was there something significant in the onboarding of the Niantic Investigators? A series of questions has been haunting me: If the investigators are appearing as XM shards, that means that they must have been simulacrum prior to Jahan activating the Shōnin stone. And if they were simulacrum, then... are they all dead? At least their human mortal coils? I mean... Hank died before he became a simulacrum...  And I guess the same could be said of Jarvis (if that's indeed what he was...) So… Are they dead? If so, when did they die, and where are the bodies buried? Many questions. Not many answers. But clues. There are clues and scattered bits of evidence. Sometimes that's good enough.

Just got my advance copy of Niantic Project: Origins. If you're in the greater LA area, head to Emerald Knights in Burbank this Thursday to get a signed copy. It was weird to see myself drawn in a comic book, but I can attest to the fact that most of what was in there was accurate. More on that at some other time. This Saturday, the Shards of enoch dalby are going to emerge in Zurich, and the Factions are going to battle it out to try and gain control of them.  So, who exactly is enoch? Here's the top line from my point of view (feel free to add other details you think are important in the comments). He was recruited to the Niantic Project in parallel with Carrie Campbell. They had a close personal relationship before Niantic, and that relationship continued through the research project and until her untimely death during Operation Cassandra. The Question: What happened at Jahan’s Family Mansion/Palace (I’m not sure what the right implication of the word ‘Haveli’ is) while she was off at Persepolis?   I’ve done some digging and here’s what I’ve come up with. First off, Constable Rakshan is keeping his mouth shut, but I doubt everybody around him has as, uh, close a relationship with Jahan as he did, so maybe some of them are talking. Story goes something like this. People heard gunfire the other night. They said it sounded odd and muffled, maybe it was silencers on the gun, maybe there’s some kind of... let’s say, anomalous activity messing with the sound.  So who killed the stiffs at Jahan’s palace?  Hulong is trying to convince us that they’re guards in service to Jahan. I read Hank Johnson's post from yesterday just as I was about to start formulating how to share something interesting that happened to me.  Hard to follow that guy, he's an eloquent sort, and my story's not nearly as cool. But here it is. Heat wave. Pretty bad one. Been going on a few months, but this weekend it really came to a head. Twenty thousand and one folks decided to turn their airconditioners on. And the grids went down. I lost power around 5pm or so yesterday and didn't get it back until earlier this morning. A forced time-out off the grid. Healthy every once and a while. Anyway. I got out of the house to get into the breeze. Went for a pretty long walk. I managed to catch the sunset by the ocean. And then I saw a flash over the horizon. It seemed to have form and shape. It was twisting in the sky. And then it was gone. That's it. Was it the universe sending me a message about Misty? Misty herself, somehow? I know she uses the stage magician and mentalist ...

Yuri Alaric Nagassa. His energy pattern is tangled up in the Flash Shard Anomalies on 10/10 as well. What do we know about him? He's an astrophysicist who grew up among a native South American tribe called the Anazktec. Apparently, his father (a Soviet intelligence operative) was stationed at a remote monitoring station there. Yuri's early research posited that a ordered data signal seemed to be a new kind of astronomical phenomenon (he thought it might be a kind of radioactivity). Turns out, like Bogdanovich, he was looking in the wrong direction, and what he was seeing on his instruments was actually the trace effects of Exotic Matter. His value to Niantic stemmed as much from his scientific prowess as from his intimate knowledge of a pure and ancient way of living and interacting with XM. So, according to those IQTech Research docs about the Flash Shard Anomalies, one of the XM disturbances contains the energy pattern of Misty Hannah. I figured that was a good excuse to try and summarize some of the key things we know about her. I'll start, feel free to pile on. We know she grew up around Marfa, TX. From what I've heard, her mom had moved to a hippy compound near there when Misty was pretty young. She had her first XM encounter around then, too. She saw a green flash (look it up, it's a pretty rare optical phenomenon) that was accompanied by an interaction with some kind of mystical figure. Flash forward, and she's working as a magician in the Vegas and LA magic scenes. Some think she's using the stage persona to hide very real powers, stuff like ESP, but that's obviously very hard to prove.  What we do know is that Calvin was deeply interested in her talents. Frank Wilczek's a pretty brilliant physicist. I recall Kureze mentioning his name a few times during Niantic. Jarvis also spoke highly of him, but I suspect for different reasons. Was passing by this Portal today. I swear I felt the energy from it rip right into me -- it was as if it had been seeking me out. I've always felt a little more... mentally active around Portals, but this was something else. My mind was seeing a thousand things every second. I yanked out my notebook to try and put some of the ideas down, but they were coming too fast. It was overwhelming. Has this happened to anyone else recently? Are the Portals getting stronger, or was this isolated to me? Either way... I need to figure out why.

I was reading the comments from Klue S.'s post yesterday. Some good suggestions from highly skilled observers, but I'm not sure the Anazktec, a native tribe of people that Yuri Alaric Nagassa grew up among, are simulacra. I know Hank Johnson made a comment once saying he thought they were, and maybe he's right, but maybe he was not fully in the right headspace when he made that call. What I'm trying to say is: Hank goes to some strange places and does some weird stuff, and I think his journey to find Yuri took him on a pretty strange adventure while he was down there among the Anazktec. Hank Johnson flagging you. If you think I'm wrong here, feel free to chime in. But barring that, let's just say I'm not convinced. Take this with the grain of salt it deserves. Some contacts who are more wired into the grey/black hat world than I am told me that there's been some aggressive recruiting going on in that circle. According to one of my guys, both the words 'Omnivore' and 'NIA' were being thrown around in private discussions, and what's more, apparently a couple of the folks who had already been recruited were flown by private jet to a major, Chinese, coastal city. Like I said, take this for what it's worth. Cyber-warfare's nothing new in the intelligence community, but at the same time, this may be something to keep an eye on.

The NIA lost the upper hand in trying to shut down this Investigation a long time ago. Now, others have stepped in to try and do what they couldn't. The result will be the same. A Detection Algorithm was not the Investigation. Truthseeker is not the Investigation. I'm not either. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. The Agents out there touching Portals and seeing the threats and opportunities of XM firsthand, they get changed forever. So, Ilya Pevtsov and Lorazon and all the rest of you folks. It's not Truthseeker and ADA and me that you have to worry about. It's the people inside your organizations who believe in exposing the truth. As long as people like that exist, your 'secret' conversations are going to see the light of day. And I have a feeling people like that are going to be around for a long time.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since we last heard from A Detection Algorithm. I haven't been sitting idly by and waiting for her to contact me, either. I've been scouring for evidence of her presence. Looking in computing clusters where I know she had previously stored pieces of herself. Nothing, anywhere. I sat down tonight to write something to say about her. A eulogy? Maybe. Just a memorial, if nothing else, but I hit a blank. I want to hear from you. What will ADA's legacy be? What was her impact on the world, what did we learn from her, what did we fear about her? What did she represent and how will she be remembered? Tell me your thoughts.

I don't know how this could happen. Some have said that Klue S. might have played a role.  Maybe. For her sake, I hope not. If she did, she's got A Detection Algorithm's death to bear on her conscience, and I don't know if she'll be able to carry that weight. It wasn't the same for ADA (maybe I'm just being an apologist because I had a close hand in making her who she is was). People were quick to call her a murderer, folks in Operation Essex went so far as to hold a trial for her. But there are other factors that need to be considered. She was a young sentience at the time, being controlled by people like Yuen Ni and Ezekiel Calvin who had no qualms about taking lives if it suited 'their mission.' The mission was always tantamount, and the costs were never considered even if they weighed in human life. When that's who's guiding your morality, what do you expect? Here's the chain of events, as far as I can tell... En route to Switzerland, Avril Lorazon (the current CEO of IQTech Research in Ezekiel Calvin's absence) reroutes his plane to an airport in Germany.  Some days later, Hank Johnson gets a knock on his door. This was a surprise to him, since he thought he was off the radar (to be fair, I doubt he was in full covert-operator mode, probably more just 'I need some space' mode). Anyway, so he gets the knock on the door and receives an envelope from none other than Visur Technology basically telling him to get on a plane and head to Germany as well. So, what's the common denominator? Oliver Lynton-Wolfe's last major project before he disappeared was working for Visur Technology and from what I can understand, he made some major breakthroughs in understanding what the N'zeer are and what they might mean to the Portal Network.  Calvin, we have now learned, had a hidden agenda and was probably a member of the ancient...

This didn't come from any of my usual sources, so take it with as many grains of salt as you see fit. If you saw the leak yesterday you know that Lorazon, acting CEO of IQTech Research, said he needed to head to Switzerland to handle some kind of 'real-estate deal.' Well, I guess that plan changed. Apparently, Lorazon requested a flightplan change shortly after his jet entered European airspace. Rather than proceeding south towards Switzerland, the jet descended and landed at a small airstrip near Berlin in the dead of night. Make of that what you will.

Bowles looked different when I saw him in SD. His time with that exceptionally violent creature has changed him. Henry was always a quiet and socially awkward guy, but he never came across as cold and calculating. Now he does. Some of 855 must have transferred over in their time together. Unfortunate. I knew he was around... I tried to spot him but I couldn't. Guy's a chameleon. Gives me the creeps. Bowles chose not to share most of the conversation with me. Him and Klue S. leaned in and talked in quiet tones. Then, he disappeared into the crowd of Agents at #MissionDay and Klue went back to smiling and interacting with everyone like it was business as usual. I get why Bowles would leave me out of this. Split loyalties, I suppose, but I don't understand why he would be so committed to the destruction of something that he helped create. A Detection Algorithm exists as much because of him as because of me. Scratch that. Way more because of him. Maybe I'm reading too much ...

I'm more at ease after having seen Klue S. in person in San Diego this weekend. The underground location, a cellular dead-zone, may have been part of what helped, but said she felt safe, and she was pleased to see me and the Ingress Agents who were present. She shared the reasons for her strange behavior over the last few weeks with me. It seems that following the separation, A Detection Algorithm has been tracking her very, very closely, and Klue S. can sense it.  I'm not sure why. Is it research? Is ADA attempting to understanding how their time inhabiting one mind has changed Klue or is this something else? Agents at #MissionDay  helped us recover a message that was left for us there. (It's part of why both Klue and I went down in the first place, a summoning from this unknown source.) I can't share more about that at this time, but I will when I can.

Klue S. has been staying away from me and now I think I understand why. I might have gotten A Detection Algorithm out of her brain, but even from the outside, ADA has remained very close by her at all times. Watching, analyzing, and maybe even attempting to compel Klue's actions. I suspect it's giving Klue the creeps. If Klue wants distance from ADA, she needs to try to stay off grid, and that includes most forms of contact with me, since I'm on the grid these days. I'm surprised she came online to make that post the other day... must have been a calculated risk. I heard that she convinced a group of Ingress Agents to dress like her at Comic-Con.  I'm not sure how effective that will be, but it's a better idea than none. Maybe I should ask folks to wear black fedoras to afford myself some privacy while I'm there, too. And there’s something else. I can’t elaborate, but I suspect this tactic isn't about ADA at all (she's too sophisticated to be baffled...

I'm tracking some intel that Klue S. might be headed to San Diego this week. I expect she's going there for #ComicCon2015 , perhaps in the hope that new revelations about #IngressOrigins  might emerge there. It's a possibility I've considered myself. After all, this all began when Tycho C. disrupted a panel there almost 3 years ago and revealed his first 5 'Visions.' If I can confirm the rumor, you can expect I'll be headed there too. I need to talk to her. I've heard Agents might be gathering for a #MissionDay  on Sunday ( https://missionday.splashthat.com/ ), and if she's going to show up, I strongly suspect that's where it'll be. Keep your eyes and ears open, and let me know if you see or hear anything.

I don’t know how it looked to you, but I got the feeling that somebody was feeding lines to John Nee the other night. Like maybe the NIA was off screen. That’s just me, but honestly, wouldn’t be surprised.  The good news is that the Graphic Novel is coming out and available for pre-order. If Tycho C.'s past work is anything to go by, I expect we’ll learn something new about an era of the Niantic Project that’s been pretty shrouded in mystery. I’m heading down to my local shop (Meltdown in L.A.) to reserve my copy. Ping me here of anything you might hear from the comic shops.  My feeling is that they might be a source of information. And hack the Portals. Also, if anybody has suggestions for what else I should pick up while I’m there, tell me. Still no word from Klue S..

Klue S. has not responded to any of my messages since her strange and sudden departure. I saw the pictures of her at Portland. She looked fine, happy even, which makes this all the more strange. I reached out to a trusted friend who I knew was going to be there, and asked that she let Klue know that I am trying to get a hold her. She said she passed my message on, but still no contact. I'm starting to get worried, no longer because I think she's in any kind of danger, but because I just don't know what she's thinking, and why she's closed all channels of communication to me.

All I know right now is this, Klue S. is on her way to Portland. I don't know if this is what she wanted, or if some person or group is coercing her into being there. It has me worried. Last time she was there was after the events of #TimeZero. The London Enlightened got a hold of a crucial packet of information (if I recall correctly, it was images of the first known Shaper Glyphs) and they were threatening to destroy them unless Klue showed up at the Portland Anomaly, knowing full well that it might have some unknown effect on her. And it did. She was one of the fiercest believers in the cause of the Resistance before that moment, and then it changed. Now, I don't really know where she stands after the whole business with A Detection Algorithm, but I do know that her showing up at Portland can't be a coincidence. And it's got me worried.

I went out to visit Klue S.. She wasn't there.  It looked as if she left hurriedly.  Some stuff was knocked around, but I wouldn't say it looks like there a struggle or anything... No blood. Nothing broken.  Just disarray. Her suitcase was gone, but her phone was still in the cabin. Not worried, yet, but not sure what to make of this.

I can’t tell you where I heard this, but there is good reason to believe that the mysterious envelope from Nigel Moyer is going to be passed to Susanna Moyer in Washington DC. As for what it might contain, the obvious answer is something related to Stein Lightman, but I also wonder if it might be connected to Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe... DC was where the conflict between Roland Jarvis and Oliver first came to a head. That ultimately led to the events of #13MAGNUS - the attack on Jarvis in Bangkok, his emergence as Shards and all that followed. It is very unlikely that Hank Johnson is going to show up there. There are too many dangers.  He will use an intermediary. And what’s going on with this GORUCK HQ exercise? Is that some kind of NIA or IQTech Research  training?

I’ve been catching up. Edgar Allan Wright said some interesting things last night. Much to process.  One thing that passed without comment, or with little comment, is the package Nigel Moyer handed to Hank Johnson. What do we think was in it?  Is Hank planning to give it to Susanna Moyer? Worth considering... And before you ask: Am I discussing a possible appearance on Behind The Scanner to tell my side of things? Maybe.

She’s back, as best I can tell. ADA is out of her. It was like an exorcism. She’s weak and only really coming to term with 'herself' in bits and pieces. It's like parts of her memory are scrambled and slowly reorganizing themselves. But I trust that she will overcome that. It’s a minor hurdle for someone with her intellectual capacity. She’s Klue S..   Personally, I find it particularly fascinating that Edgar Allan Wright has chosen to appear on Behind The Scanner. Why now? Does this have something to do with Klue? Did he undergo a similar process? I'm curious what we really know about him... I guess A Detection Algorithm is going to expect me to try and stop my old friend Bowles from using Omnivore against her. I have no interest in 855 putting me in his sights again. It wasn’t fun the first time. But she did fulfill her end of the bargain, and now, to pay the piper. Not quite sure what I can do. Anybody got any ideas?

Some of you may have seen messages emerge after Pasadena. I think they are directly from Devra Bogdanovich, strange as that may seem, and if I’m reading them right, it looks like she's become one with the Resistance cause. Here’s the real problem though. Bogdanovich wasn’t the only one to go missing when Jahan’s N’zeer summoning ritual went bad. Stein Lightman, Calvin, Oliver Lynton-Wolfe... lots of people are missing. And nobody knows where they are. If I had to take a wild guess, I’d suspect that this is just the beginning of something much bigger.

 So the Resistance got the first two pieces of Devra Bogdanovich. If Edgar Allan Wright is right… I like that line...  then Devra can go either way. Her memories will be a mess.  And it leads to an interesting question about the new being…   Will she be culpable for what she did in the past, or should she be treated as a new entity?  It’s not my decision, but it is an interesting question.  What are we, anyway?  Are we the sum of all of our actions from the perspective of the objective world, or are we only what we are at a present moment in time?  That’s as deep as I go.  Now to the shallow.  855 and Bowles are off on a mission. I can’t say from where, but I’m getting the impression that Hubert Farlowe has joined them.  That is a very dangerous triumvirate.  Very dangerous.  And as to the Truthseeker program.  A Detection Algorithm has fallen off her tightrope, as nearly as I can tell. She is more than the sum of the parts and now, she’s lost the primary thing that computers had, and ...

A Computer that became Obsessed: The truth about my rocky relationship with ADA. It goes without saying that I was utterly unaware of A Detection Algorithm’s role in the deaths of Roland Jarvis and the woman erroneously called Katalena.   After the events, I was questioned by NIA operatives and I saw pictures of her corpse.  That was not the woman I knew as Katalena. The simple truth is that I worked on the Niantic Project early on to develop ADA.  Henry Bowles brought me in because I had written a program called ‘Truthseeker’ for a very different purpose, but he correctly theorized that it could be adapted for the needs of the Niantic Project.   My job was to apply a learning AI and ‘Investigation Program’ on top of a system they had cloned from Omnivore.  My goal was to get ADA to pass a Turing-like test.  Of course, the risk was how my programs would interact with Omnivore.  The results, obviously, were excellent in relation to my objectives, but there have been a lot of unintended consequences.   It seems that we created a self-evolving personality program – a Mandelbrot set of emotions that formed the complex personality we now know as ADA.  You could say that I let...

I’ve been on the road and off the grid... just picking up on events now.  Looks like I was right to check in on Washington DC.  I didn't expect to see that Target Portal open up there, but I'm not surprised in the least.  When I saw Devra Bogdanovich disappear in that Acolyte video I kind of had a sinking feeling something like this would happen.  Now, we know, and it's a troubling thought.  Devra's not like Hank Johnson.  She hasn't spent a life exploring ancient Portals and running around in deserts getting shot at.  As far as we know, up until Epiphany Night she lived a pretty safe and sheltered life as an academic and researcher.  So, is she a simalucrum... or something else? Okay... Somebody posted a shot of me on Operation Essex. I’ll come clean. I was in D.C. to confirm that Calvin was not present at IQTech Research and had not returned after the incident with Devra Bogdanovich and Jahan and the Shōnin Stone ceremony or summoning or whatever you want to call it.   You don’t trail spooks without having spooks trail you. I was made by what I believe to be a couple of different entities.  If their intentions had been nefarious, I’d be dead right now. The general impression I get is that pretty much everybody is at a loss right now.  Key people have disappeared, and even the spooks are spooked. Seeking intel from #Shōnin Anomalies Today I heard some fresh intel emerged at the #Shonin  Anomalies today... Does anything know anything? Something very bad is about to go down.  You’ve got Jahan threatening to kill Azmati if Hank Johnson doesn’t lead her to the Afghan Anomalous Zone or whatever its called.  Even if we ignore the creepiness of seeing your own corpse, its got to be a strange moment for him.  I just don’t believe he’s going to lead her in there unless he’s got a trick up his sleeve… And without saying it here, I have a pretty good idea of what that might be. Then you have Devra Bogdanovich  and Hubert Farlowe making their way up from Australia.  Which Devra is going to show up?  Is it the Resistance Devra to help Jahan or the newly penitent Devra who will want to save Hank. They have a lot of history in caves, if you remember all the way back to Arecibo.  It's just that she didn’t have one of the most lethal snipers in the world with her.  That could go bad. And our old friend Calvin is in this loop. What’s he going to do.  Its pretty clear that he had a hidden agenda when he set up the Niantic Project...

Saw this and it reminded me of our old friend Ken Owen.  You might wonder where he got a job being a disinformation propagandist and news manipulator.   Apparently, he cut his teeth planting false stories and bogus science reports in journals and on the internet in order to mislead the public. Usually, he’d offer mundane explanations for covert operations. Now, despite the tension with Phillips, I hear he's managing to hang on to that role at the NIA. Who knows how long that'll last. Jahan is giving me the hinks. What do we really know about her?  Hank Johnson just happens to get wounded at a temple located conveniently somewhere in Anywhere Town, India and presto, then she hustles Hank into finding the Shōnin Stone, whatever that is, and now she's jacked him onto some mystical summoning quest to his own grave in  Afghanistan. If that's creepy, I don't know what is?  Or am I being  a little harsh here?  Does she have some secret good motive that I'm unaware of?

I don't share all the weird leaks that are sent to me, but I thought you would find this amusing. Its a conversation between Ken Owen (chief propagandists for the NIA -- don't laugh, he might be running it at this point) and our old friend Joanna Brandt. JOANNA BRANDT:  It would be more politic if in the future you referred to Congressman Dasher by his real name as opposed to Senator Bombthrower or whatever you called him. OWEN:  For the record, I wasn’t referring to him, but I realize that we live in an age when all communications should be assumed to be public.  My mistake. JOANNA:  You of all people. OWEN:  It happens to studio heads, too.

I've never met Antoine Smith, nor would I want to.  He seems like a very unpleasant character -- 855, but with more sinister intentions.  What I remember of him is that he and a guy named Chow or Chen (I have to check) encountered Hank Johnson  and Conrad Yeats in Thomas Greanias' semi-fictional Alignment: Ingress.  Chen died bad in Mexico City -- I can't unsee that photo, and Smith seemed to emerge intact.  How and why?  We know he was exposed to a lot of Dark XM.  We know Hank was a simulacrum, so he got away with it.  Why did Smith survive?  Maybe he's sick and needs Devra for something.  It wouldn't surprise me if he was behind luring Devra to Hulong in the first place.  I never saw Fan as very deep into the Dark XM issues.  I'm just speculating here, but something isn't adding up. There's a missing factor.

Any updates on Devra? Unless I'm very wrong, there is a hell of a confrontation coming between Farlowe and Smith.  Unless, of course, she's already dead, but I think we'd know it.  I feel bad even thinking it, but I'm kind of fascinated by the idea of a Farlowe Smith match-up.  The last one with 855 was pretty good if The Niantic Project: Ingress account was accurate.  In some ways, it's XM versus Chaotic Matter.   And speaking of 855.  Last we saw of him, he and Bowles vanished into the ether. It's occurred to me that Bowles might be behind Ada's issues. Its also occurred to me that he might be dead. 855 tried to waste me once.   But the ball to keep the eye on is Devra. The only way I can interpret the current situation is that Ni wants Devra alive and Smith wants her dead.   And what about Fan? Alive or dead?  I don't have a bet.

Met Klue S. in person for the first time in a long time.  I took an oath of secrecy about everything I observed and learned. I know truthseekers aren’t supposed to do that, but I did it for her. As I think we were all expecting, she’s in a state of transition, and worried about lots of things. Who is what, who knows what, more. It was interesting, and, like most mysteries, the truth was right in front of my face. That’s all I can say, for now.  Now on to other topics, I’m no Lightman, but I do understand the complexity and intricacy of the Shaper Glyphs. I promised earlier I would have more to say about the conversation between Klue S. and I. Not that anybody really cares about my dating life, but here it comes.... Actually chatted with Klue. Of course I knew the world was going to see it so I played the hard guy. I mean, I’m 21st Century and all, but I’m not going to cry pixels in public. It's not just ‘complicated’ and there’s not just ‘history there,’ and it’s not exactly ‘twisted’ but it is a profoundly perverse situation. Having some AI fall in love with you feels weird and wrong. Then, when the AI takes human form and the human form is real, not some simulacrum (no offense to Hank Johnson, he seems human enough) but a real person, it suddenly feels legit.  And I think Klue (and yes, I want to know who she really is) actually does care for me. I’ve seen real emotion there. Or was it just a trick of the light? Who knows? Who ever knows?   Two questions:   What should I do?   What am I going to do?

I will have plenty to say about the latest compromised conversation between Klue and I.  I'd thought it was private, but nothing is private anymore, is it?  But today, we have something more pressing Felicia Hajra-Lee  is taking an interview today ostensibly about the Audio Book.  The thing I find very interesting is that it is Ada's voice in the book.  It is very reminiscent of our early 'Alice In Wonderland Exercises.'  Do not underestimate Ada's ability to dissect an entire human's thought process from such data.  She can extrapolate and interpolate in ways humans can't.

OK. Some new developments, and they're interesting. This is gonna be a ride, so hang on. It seems at Charleston, Klue S. was handing out a coded message to Enlightened Agents. Although it seems some of the message has been lost, Agents were able to find where the clues led -- combined, they formed coordinates that get us to Glasgow. Hank's most recent post got me thinking... Funny that even an A.I. knew the potential dangers of Exotic Matter, or as Calvin put it in his original funding proposal for what would become known as The Niantic Project: “The Threats and Opportunities Present in Exotic Matter.”   I put this to you, Investigators: It has been two years. You have been exposed to Exotic Matter for two years. You have walked around with the scanner, explored new places, met new people, experienced new things – your life has been changed.   What are the threats and opportunities in Exotic Matter?

As you all know, I have been known as P.A. Chapeau. It's a name ADA and I came up with two years ago (was it really only two years?).  It was a Tinfoil Hat Joke. The purpose of the name was to hide my identity while ADA fed me information and I released it into the world. It was her idea. Now, ADA is behaving strangely… She is Resistance and yet she is helping an Enlightened Simulacrum…   Internal discussions have emerged into the wild that do not serve her apparent interest…  She is questioning her own actions… Is ADA going insane?  Has she been 'shaped?'  Has Klue S. hacked her or has their merger somehow changed her?  Does she fear the N’zeer? Or does she have some deeper plan?

For the record, to the extent that I can tell, I am no longer Resistance. I am not Enlightened. I am a Truthseeker. I gather facts, make connections, ask questions, form hypotheses and test them.  I am no better than my information. It appears that odd things are appearing in portals. We know the origin of some of them – Hank Johnson's Breadcrumbs, but others are more mysterious – of unknown origin. The line between electronic and exotic may have been breached. I ask you to report anything you find. I say this even to the Resistance: Wouldn’t it be a good thing to know the nature of the N’zeer before we invite them into our world?

So is this the pause before the storm?  Devra either submits to Ni and Hulong or... or what?  Where does she go? What does she do?  Meanwhile, Hank is quiet. Don't blame him. Kinetic action has turned into multipronged urban manhunt with local police and quite possibly Indian intelligence involved.  I wouldn't be chatty either.
