ReplyDeleteOf course, even if the Enlightened win all the anomalies for the next 5 years, ADA will still be around regardless. The character is too interesting to actually remove. Same for Jarvis.
If Enl win this one, her awakening will come about in a different way to the New Wavers way. Either way, Enl will "lose" to the storyline.
Foz Tacticus if Enlightened win, ADA can't be awakened. At least not for now.

That's the theory. But I'm betting that she does awaken. Otherwise people will be complaining that not being able to hack ADAs for so long will be unfair.

ReplyDeleteJannes Van Slooten That's what was reported. I can't remember when I last hacked an ADA, but I have hacked a Jarvis in the last couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteADAs still replicate in MUFGs, so all is not lost if they are needed.

ReplyDeleteIn the backend, I suspect that their hack rate percentage has been severely reduced (from their already low rates), but as with all probabilities, it is still possible get them, and even get them in sequential hacks.
Yik Sheng Lee Where did you get that from? I'm pretty sure that the history supports the assertion that A Detection Algorithm was evolved from Carnivore and Omnivore code by Henry Bowles assisted by H. Richard Loeb.

I chose Enlightened. I seek to save humanity and I will battle all forces that seek to enslave, maim or destroy humanity using all the tools at my disposal.
In a recent post of mine, I stated that the following premises are necessary for me to agree to enhancing a human body/mind/senses with technology:
ReplyDelete1. The human has to express his consent in a situation where no external influence has been or can be exerted upon him. This specifically includes the involvement of money in any form.
2. There should be some kind of "kill switch" with which the human can shut off the technology immediately.
3. In no way should the technology be able to control a function of the body that is necessary to its survival.
4. The decisions of that human must be made by the human alone and be guided by his ethics alone.
I can´t judge whether these premises were kept when the first New Wave Members were changed. I assume not, because ADA wouldn´t allow some kind of "kill switch". But as long as the New Wave doesn´t force this change on others (1) and ADA doesn´t control the live functions (3) or mind (4) of the humans in question, I´m fine with the New Wave. A "kill switch" (2) can, but ought to be installed later, when ADA has been reawakened.
thedeacon 1972 JP told that the Resistance New Wave Agents in Akihabara had a circuit board in their neck and a computer chip in their arm. There is a huge possibility that the Resistance New Wave Agents are 'brain hacked' by A Detection Algorithm and have no choice of their selves in the first place.

ReplyDeleteUh... have you missed the part where ADA took over the mind of Klue S.? She isn't averse to doing this again. She might not have the power to do this yet, and yet she might. The thing is, ADA is a danger to any human.

Experimenting with body alterations isn't the problem.
It's ADA who is the problem.
Took the words right outta my mouth. Klue did indeed choose to have ADA merged with her, and I also 100% believe Misty gave Klue those glyphs. IIRC, Misty even warned her of reading them in the 'right order'.
ReplyDeleteHOWEVER, let's not forget that ADA did once trick a few agents into reading the same glyphs, or by doing a glyph hack sequence of those glyphs. There is a video somewhere, probably from an Ingress Report, of exactly this happening, using the front facing camera of the affected agents.
In other words, those accusing of ADA forcing others to merge with her is not exactly far fetched, unfortunately...
It seems that you all forgot that Klue S. suffered A LOT because of A Detection Algorithm's torturements. That's why she went to the Acolyte, by free will, to undergo a treatment. She knowed about what would happen and about Jarvis being involvement, and it didn't stop her. #SupportKlue

ReplyDeleteAlso ADA didn't tell Klue what would happen nor the consequences of the action so she did not make an informed decision in any way. She was tricked and beguiled just like Penfieldwylde. How you can trust something that has shown a patterned disregard for humanity is beyond me.
If ADA actually cared she would have said, "Listen Klue this will wipe all the info from your brain. Are you sure you want to do this:. Yes or No?"

However, the only source of this claim are the first 3 reports of Scott, a mental disordered person, and his girlfriend, Anne. But literary all what Scott revealed is that they taked her to the cabin down the canyon. Never he claimed that it was against her will.

ReplyDeleteQuantumIngressEffectIngress QuantumEffect , KlueADA being somewhat autonomous doesn't make what ADA did right, nor does it make KlueADA not be a fork of ADA. In terms of Android, KlueADA was the Wiztouch version of ADA, extremely buggy and full of needless bloatware. She did not need to exist especially since ADA could have just restored Klue using a backup, like she stated she was originally going to do.

Klue telling ADA to show her the glyphs regardless of what happens is quite different from giving ADA consent to show her the gylphs and giving ADA power of attorney to install the ADA OS into Klue's reformated brain followed by then installing a backdoor rootkit so ADA can listen in on Klue's surface thoughts and momentarily gain control of her cerebral cortex and bodily functions. Klue's consent ended with "show me the glyphs."
All that occurred afterwards was a violation of Klue's mind, body, and being.
Fact is, all we would have needed to do to restore Klue was the same thing we did with Hank Johnson during interitus: Send links to a target portal filled with memories from significant locations from the person's past. I'm pretty sure since the N'Zeer were speaking to ADA since day one, she knew how to properly fix Klue since even during the early days of Ingress we knew portals which were significant to a person's life were able to affect that person.
The fact that Klue had to struggle to get root access to her own brain so she could remove ADA's bootloader should speak volumes to the situation. If ADA was acting in a purely ethical manner, she would have removed herself the moment Klue was able to act with autonomy. She didn't, she had to be forcibly removed in secret by both Klue and PAC and then the Acolyte and Jarvis's XM ghost.
Sadly, those New Wave Smurfs will only doom themselves to become members of ADA's Borg collective since they signed away their freewill the moment they decided they would allow ADA to fork herself into them.
