What is the New Wave Enlightened or the New Wave Resistance? I need information. Need to understand what's happening, here. Help me out in the comments.

ReplyDeleteI heard rumors about new players (since the release of PokemonGo) puting NW before there agent name. Never seen one so never been able to confirm.
ReplyDeleteH. Richard Loeb I feel this is related to the Glyphs that are similar to Resistance and Enlightened but are a little different. They are referred to as Type B. One is Resistance with the bottom stroke going the opposite direction, the other is Enlightened with a longer lower stroke below the eye.

New wave? Sounds like "new faction" for me.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Joshua Sallos The "New Wave" is about the next gen of players who have no interested in the current leader base that has all but brought about and end to Ingress. I would like to believe the "New Wave" want to explore Ingress and the world around them.. take it back to its roots and have no interest in an internal war based on faction loyalty.. play the game.. share experiences with humanity.. in the end the outcome will find its own way.

ReplyDeleteNWE (NewWaveEnlightened, first of its name, born in xm, ...) is an amazing team of Enlightened Agents that operates in the NR01-GOLF-03 cell, northen Italy. It all began in 2012, when a very small group of agents refused ADA 's promises of a better future in order to join Roland Jarvis 's cause, and started fighting for evolution and preservation of the human self in a war that still continues as we speak.
Hard were those days, when the enemy forces completely outnumbered the ENL early agents (beta tester) that almost gave up hope to victory; but then Jarvis gave a sign of his presence, and as Ingress releases began to get more popular, several new agents decided to follow the path of enlightenment and embrace the Shapers' message.
It was the right time to gather all this people under a common flag, being the New Wave Enlightened, a place where to learn together and together cooperate, in local OPs as well as part of every official event related to Ingress plots and development, from Cern data transmission to every single XM Anomaly, beginning with the almost forgotten Cassandra and making the difference till the most recent Aegis Nova.
Today our ranks continue growing to fight for evolution, spread Jarvis 's message and support the Acolyte.
Together we stand under the symbol of the Falcon, an animal that flies above our lands, representing freedom and yet close to the archetypal egyptian God Horus, keeper of the amulet of Horo, destroyer of the evil (ADA itself). Lots of valuable players have come and gone over these four years but we never forgot our original goal, to enlighten our region about XM, to transmit the Shaper's message and to support Acolyte’s journey.

I'm not 'New Wave', though I did join Ingress because of Pokemon Go. At least, I don't think I am, though truth be told I joined the enlightenment more out of a desire for self-improvement than to follow a leader, especially since as far as I'm concerned destroying such an impressive artifact as ADA hardly lines up with my own goals for humanity.
ReplyDeleteSo perhaps I am new-wave after all? I mean, setting loyalties aside, we're all at least starting on the transhumanist path, aren't we? Our phones may not be physically attached to us, but aren't they a part of us all the same? Really the physical attachment is moot. We're all on the way to joining the singularity, whether we like it or not. The folks in Akihabara have just embraced it more than we have, that's all.
To me the"new wave" is a group of people who don't want to blindly follow their faction's current leader. If that is how others see it too, then I'm one of them it's time for a change

ReplyDeleteI'm with ENL. It was a simple choice. After dealing with ATM's, DIY Check outs at the supermarket, and Gasoline pumps rigged with TV ads the entire "Destroy all machines" is incredibly cathartic.
