Hank and I might be at cross purposes here in Washington D.C. -- he’s hoping that the Enlightened win and wrest control of the Exogenous Precursors and I’m pulling for the Resistance, but we do have one goal in common: To solve the Ken Owen mystery.

  1. RANDY HOJCUS I'm starting to think those numbers have more meaning than what we've been lead to believe

  2. The two of you have shared purposes for a while. But now more then ever. I can understand why Hank hopes for the Enlighteneds control over the Anomaly. And I see why you hope for the Resistances control.

Well, we may know the motive. Or at least some possibilities.
    1. Someone had some issues with Owens.
    2. He failed and job,
    3. He was in the way of a one of the corporations.
We already know the method. He was shot 6 times. But I do not think the type of gun used had been determined.
Means, someone could have been hired to kill murder him. It may have been done for money or information.
We know te victim and we have a list of suspects. Now we need to find out who did it.

I have a feeling this may take a while to find a conclusion.

  5. I have to say I disagree with you H. Richard Loeb I think that finding a motive is actually the best way to narrow down the search... the means could have been found/deviced by whoever had a strong enough motive.

If you asked me, I would point my fingers at Jay Phillips and Henry Shaw's attempt to re-open (legally) the Niantic Project and to restore the funding for it.
What would be more dangerous for a tainted project looking to come back than the man who truly knows just how tainted it is and who was paid to cover that up?
He sounds more like a "mercenary of truth conceiling" than a guy who has any loyalties... and any mercenary may be paid off eventually to say what he knows by another party.

That sounds like quite a liability if you ask me... and sure would be motive enough.

I'm not saying the other parties would not have a motive... they do... but I certainly believe this one to be the strongest.

(I don't want to go as far as to point out the posibility of a joined venture between Niantic and IQTech here...)

  6. The search for truth sometimes leads thought into ways that heart and feelings do not want to go.

To be part of those who seek the truth pushes to look for an affinity with who, around, proposes to do likewise.
Often, however, the ways in which you look are not the same, and do not always align with other investigators, even though they are longing for it.

Occam's razor wants the simplest explanation to be the correct one.

Re-linking this principle, with a quote appearing in a H. Richard Loeb post from few days ago ["_If you look inside the Abyss it is impossible to prevent the Abyss from looking back into you_"], then there is another person to add at Hank's "Persons of Interest" list.

    You too, Richard;
As a truth seeker, you might have had a good motive in Ken's departure. Perhaps you may had come to the point where the smoke K.Owens was able to generate had become too dense to penetrate, and his lie's woven net could only break by killing the spider.
An extreme step. A desperate step.
    But still a chance.

Perhaps - we can not know whether it is true or not - your presence in Washington D.C. had begun well before it was said.

I do not want to believe this possibility.
But that is no less, it is something that has to be considered.
