This would hold true for the initial Niantic researchers as Yuri Alaric Nagassa, Stein Lightman and Martin Schubert where initially 'unaligned' thus providing a balanced Magnus in the beginning.

ReplyDeleteBrent Hollettthat's what the researchers thought to be correct at that time. That does not mean it IS actually correct. That's the beauty of science. Something might be wrong on the lights of new evidence and paradigms might shift.
ReplyDeleteCatalina Reyes true, but a hypothesis (this is not a scientific theory) does not make truth. Research does, which is what was done at the Niantic Project. I'd want some sort of evidence besides "Resistance wants to justify the evilness of Enlightened" before I believe that the scientific research conducted is inaccurate because of a belief.

ReplyDeleteBrent Hollett I don't see it like that. Actualky I think that saying that blue XM is N'zeer modulated XM is bad for the resistance as well. But you're right at wanting some hard evidence. For me, the fact that both coloured XM's contain brain-invading ideas (organised data) makes it clear that this is not its "natural" state. The theory that green was the "natural" appeared when it was thought that XM was per se a brain-shaping tool. Now we know it's more complex than that...

XM is a "brain shaping tool", is like saying "Water is a life giving tool" and "floridated water is 'modulated' water". We don't know more complex data than that, because no scientific study since the Niantic project has been done.
ReplyDeleteThat the N'zeer have perverted XM to their own ends doesn't mean there's some mythical "empty" XM. XM does a thing. Modulated XM twists that thing. You can't stop XM from doing its thing.
To point out the flaw in the theory, Yik Sheng Lee said that XM is a frequency. To remove the frequency is called silence and stillness. Not "Natural XM".

Brent Hollett You can have a frequency that is not meaningfully organised and that would be a pure state of it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I never said "green is evil". I was actually saying that both shapers and N'zeers shape brains with their messages. If that is evil to you, then both are evil. If that is fantastic to you, then both are fantastic. If it depends on the message they you may prefer N'zeers over Shapers. But that's very very far from the point I was even addressing.
What I was saying is that the XM seems to do to things... One is purely enhance and the other is to put ideas into people's minds. Both races (if we will continue to assume they are different races) have done that.
Given that dual nature, and the fact that organised data was found in the form of a language, it is totally plausible to have a natural state of the XM energy (because according to OLW it IS also a form of energy) without the organised data put into it. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe said once that it worked as both, energy AND matter, that's why it could be engineered.
So, if its data is always organised that means that XM has always been artificially devised. But on the light of what we know now maybe it is not. Maybe its properties make it a good conduct for data to be put in it but it also has a natural state. Not like silence (because it is not frecuency). Energy does not stop being energy when we don't put it into use nor modify it. The same may be true for XM...
This theory only works if their are only two exogenous civilizations. From all we know, there may be as many exogenous "civilizations" as there has been on earth but with only two currently deciding it's worth their time to medle with earthlings.

ReplyDeleteMichell Smith If we recognize AIs as our enemy, Als also recognize us as their enemy. And vice versa. I'm optimistic about it. However, to build a good relationship, we need to keep appropriate distance. Same as good relationship between friends.

ReplyDeleteI push away the shaper xm going to natural just to pull nzeer-xm in... defend is the other way round. . Pulling together blue, pushing away the green... works really with lots of them.... and might give hints to hidden meanings or background of the glyphs, factions and so on... can't put it in words right now...
