My gratitude to all the Investigators and Agents who weighed in on my experience from yesterday -- it affected me in a tangible way, and I'm still processing what I witnessed. Your responses have helped me put what I saw together in mind...

  1. It could do even more in an attempt to help unravel this tangled skein of mysteries, I think we would all be more than happy to do so.

And, H. Richard Loeb, what 'bout

<< Maybe they are beginning to see that factions are controlling their thoughts and actions.
This was an act of cleansing.
Curiosity killed the cat and you're woefully short on lives.
The current battle isn't exactly green versus blue, but more light versus darkness.
Will be the year where the Enlightened and Resistance work toghether against common enemies? >>

  3. Of two evils, choose neither. I wonder if NWE and NWR are the beginning of new factions...

  4. Nice question. Just time let us know...

  5. H. Richard Loeb the answers you seek are, at times, more intriguing than the question you asked

  6. Ian Phillips "That doesn't look like anything to me."

It's been asked for since Misty's magic trick in year one. I don't think the current game can handle if it's either a PC faction or a NPC faction; too many people would complain if their farms or GPs were "NIA spoofed" and the other factions aren't, an no one will flip to red if they all have to start over in three months. Also, it's impossible for a third faction to win anomalies when they have no structure set up. All they could do until their numbers build is help one of the other factions win the anomalies.

  7. Mario Valenzuela II I do not think there is a risk that NIA present a "third party" that automatically destroy the portals of both Enl that Res.
I believe the two sides will be required to work together to make something new, collect xm, make fields or particular link.

Or, again, NIA could give the opportunity to someone to change faction moving - but I believe very, very unlikely - in the "third".

    Ian Phillips  Great job!
The red dots could describe a pattern of some kind? Grills for glyphs or other maybe?

  8. Daeniem Loidlan before Niantic labs left Google, they thought about the possibility of creating an NPC faction that players could battle against so that agents in areas which never flipped could have something to do besides recharge. What helped spur this idea was the storyline with Devra. I actually think that might have been the original intent of bringing in the N'zeer. However, I wonder the tecthulhu storyline may have been a second incarnation of their thought experiment.

  9. The two factions have to unite to keep Pokémon go players from making all our portals disappear.

  10. So we're finally seeing the dream realized, even if only for a moment.
The possibility exists for us to work together to bring balance, if only for an instant.
Light has shone through these past anomalies, where it felt almost as if both factions wanted the same thing, and darkness has shown its face as well, showing its face in the form of those who react to XM with more dubious intentions. This, then, can become the reality - where the factions can work together to stop the corruption of those who wish to abuse the power of XM.
The question becomes this then - how long will it last?
