Yesterday's clue was recovered from near the CERN facility in Geneva by two Resistance Agents working in collaboration: @Max0 and @CarlaBB. Thanks to their efforts, we have obtained the third theory from the anonymous source. The clue I received today was…

  1. Klada did offer this to Hank Johnson back on the day. So i assume they already have the technology for it.
An offer he rejected with reasons to do so. The possibility of tampering with those memories is just to big and without a tool that will let you check the checksum.
    How will you ever know?

  2. We've found the portal, but there is no media dropping :(

  3. Daniel van Os maybe physical media for this time?

  4. Since Calvin Ezekiel designed his experiment so that all of the participants would be simulacra asleep in the ABADDON nest, does it follow that A Detection Algorithm was the failsafe, intended to protect all of the researchers while they were incapable of protecting themselves?

  5. Yeah, the idea that ADA was 'protecting' the Niantic researchers is not supported by the facts in evidence.

Recall that ADA's verb of choice here is 'deprecated'.

    Thanks but no thanks.

  6. Brandon Downey ADA never said that word. Klue said it. Watch the video again.

  7. A Detection Algorithm is the simulacrum of Jaina Proudmoore

  8. and Devra Bogdanovich is the simulacrum of Vanessa Vancleef

  9. So... Then is the anomaly to basically overwrite those memories however we please, cause if so that pretty messed up way to try to make this a tie (which won't happen).

  10. Amazing work Daniel van Os -- I was busy looking near cathedrals in Wroclaw. ;)

Now we have four competing theories of the vault, but I wonder if they might not all be the same.

    1. Devra stumbled into this ... in between... place as a child
    2. It was in fact a N'zeer or Shaper power spot; a place where XM and perhaps even human patterns could be manipulated
    3. It was used in an attempt to store the patterns and memories of the ABDN victims at Niantic, but was unsuccessful
    4. OLW found out about it, and tried to store ADA's pattern there before she was destroyed; perhaps using the tremendous power of the Aegis Nova (which PS, we STILL have no understanding of if or why it broke), though now is unable to retrieve those memories as a baseline.

Why can't OLW retrieve them? Why did it fail (or was not even attempted) for the researchers?

Maybe the answer is that the entire Vault is 'keyed' to Devra, and this point in her childhood, since she was the first one to stumble on it. Maybe she took something with her that grants access (like the wind stone for ABDN), or maybe the 'key' is her own memories. Devra's is needed in some way to access the vault.

Meanwhile, returning these memories must also require immense amounts of energy -- anomalous energy, which will be here soon courtesy of the next wave of Via Lux anomalies.

I suspect that we will be faced with two options: A chance to restore the memories of the humans, trapped in the vault, or a chance to restore the memories of ADA, also there.

Only one guess on which faction is on the side of humanity, rather than the machines -- and you can find us in green on the streets September 24.

  11. Also, while we're at it: Does anyone even have any information on what the "Via Lux" (the way of light) even is? All we've heard about are some people mutilating their bodies to help ADA, and now it's all about this Vault.

Is this Vault the key to the Via Lux? Or do we have more revelations to come?

  12. Brandon Downey Bit of luck I guess as there was a Dutch site that popped up when I searched for Coat of Arms, Peter, Paul, sword, keys and it mentioned the Poznan Cathedral.

  13. This same crest showed up in a number of English abbeys and larger cathedrals as well -- I suspect there are more portals like this out there; but I guess knowing Devra's history would have been the other tip off.
