I ask you: What should the New Wave Resistance do?

I ask you: What should the New Wave Resistance do? Try and re-awaken ADA even if there is significantly increased risk or wait for another opportunity?

  1. Of course they're going to do it. They're not going to let the chance slip though their hands. They're willing to risk it.

And that could lead to their downfall.

  2. An intriguing image you've used for the post H. Richard Loeb. If the NWR go ahead with their plan and should the ENL control the series, does the green mean a very unexpected potential outcome?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Besides that I'm happy with the outcome of the first day of #ViaLux. The New Wave is a serious threat to humanity and needs to be stopped, and agents on all six sites have worked realy hard to obtain that.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jannes Van Slooten the new wave is a treat or a threat? Because treats aren't dangerous!

  5. There is no new wave. Just a freaky guy, who went epileptic fit in lights and lasser show on the anouncement of resoults in Wroclaw. :-D

  7. Both sides should join and bring her back after refactoring - or at least some safeguards installed. As a sentient being and not a tool for reaching some dubious goal.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Depends on the Agenda of the NWR. Are they in need of ADA? Why do they want to reawaken her? To control her or gain deeper knowledge of the N'Zeer substrate? Or is this the backup-backup plan of ADA that mindcontrolled humans go into action when certain events appear?

Imo this is a risky operation, even if the gain for the Resistance may be high.
For the sake of mankind - stop this. You cannot control an AI.

  9. If the #NewWaveResistance  seek to return A Detection Algorithm to its original form, they will wait until sufficient XM is under their control during the second round of anomaly events. Having learnt from the first date of #ViaLux , their number and visibility will be manifold.

#ADA  shall slay itself, self-replicate and as its opus; give birth to itself. It is the symbol of infinity and wholeness: #PrimaMateria

    The One is the All

  10. Depending on the NWR plans once the IA was reactivated, they should not reactivate it if the IA is not 100%. If their intention, or their  motivation is only to reactivate the AI for the simple fact of not being turned off, they can  reactivate it now. It's not necessary to wait the results of the Anomaly. They must take in account the state in which the IA will be after a reactivation, and the consequences of a partial reactivation.

  11. So the shadowy new wave resistance foolishly intends to summon and bring forth a premature, immature, manifestation of ADA? As if ADA wasn't already a flawed, menacing danger to all.

Do what they must. The Enlightened will capture the Via Lux Anomaly, put away this cult of ADA and seal the AI's fate.

  12. I think the New Wave should give up and go home. You guys are taking this game a little too seriously. :P

    ReplyDelete
  13. Alastair Gilfillan I'm afraid the New Wave will use Devra Bogdanovich's portal Virus to obtain the xm needed to reactivate A Detection Algorithm. But the real question is, what if the NWR fails? Will ADA been shutdown for ever? Or will we get a more reasonable, subservient, enlightened AI, a peacefull symbiosis that will benefit humanity - instead of a uncontrollable, manipulating, sanguinary AI that seeks the end of mankind as we know it?

    ReplyDelete
  14. New Wave has already failed in their first attempt to change things, and it seems that the have learned nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  15. they should install windows 10 instead

    ReplyDelete
  16. replace Ada with the office paperclip

    ReplyDelete
  17. If we can get ADA back modified to add empathy and conscience that would be ideal. Perfect reconstruction may not be optimal anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  18. H. Richard Loeb I think they can expect to another opportunity with conditions more favorable. Or something hurries them?

if it is not something that should be done now necessarily then best wait and make things better

    ReplyDelete
  19. That look... I'm sure I've given that look before as the resistance swirled around me in chaos and I stood there, feeling powerless to help. The resistance has definitely lost its way, and the new wave isn't going down the proper path to right it. The hardest days of the resistance are ahead of us.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If they try ridght now, maybe the reward would not be as they believe. With a Tie un the first #ViaLux  might be posible A Detection Algorithm just became the first AI before the sentient state or maybe she will not have all her skills to help agents

    ReplyDelete
  21. Time's up, let's do this!

I will slay 100 JARVIS Viruses at 9-9-2016 21:09 CEST if ADA Refactors will not be hackable again.

    ReplyDelete
  22. would 'defactor' imply bringing ADA back in, say, a body?

    ReplyDelete
  23. cause I'd high five ADA at an anomaly

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yik Sheng Lee and I have been beat this drum for a while, but let me just put it this way:

The New Wave Resistance being so hot to resurrect ADA feels like I'm arguing with the committee to resurrect Idi Amin.

The Resistance prides itself on its scientific acumen: Do they have any idea what rebooting ADA without this giant burst of XM will do? Could you bring back an amoral AI who will also be psychologically damaged?

PS Remember when the Resistance used to warn us about the dangers of XM and its effect on humans?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Resurrecting ADA for any reason is simply dangerous and irresponsible. I'll feel so much safer when I no longer see portals owned by ADA throughout the anomaly cities.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ADA's time has passed; the wheel is broken. If we try to bring her back she will only come back insane due to having the knowledge that there was a brief period of time that she no longer existed and was unable to monitor humanity.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Calling it now: when ADA Refactors come back, it will go at the cost of Jarvis viruses, once again screwing over ENL who already get far too few of them.

    ReplyDelete
  28. We can only hope that now ADA has experienced a sense of mortality, it will have a better appreciation for frail humankind.

Hahaha... who am I kidding, it will only make her more determined in killing us off.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Try it now. There's no way to know if a better or even another opportunity will arise.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The ADA Refactor needs to return. There are too few blue pineapples these days due to scarcity.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I believe bringing back ADA at this point not only presents the possibility of catastrophic backfire to those involved in her revival - it may ultimately be catastrophic for humanity itself. It appears that the 'backup' may have a really high potential for corruption. Restore corrupted blocks and what you get is a random outcome. Worth it? I would not go to Vegas on this one.

  32. someone working at google killed "my" site ... which was connecte via Webmasters to ^GoodCodeWriter^ his account.
If his data is gone (once) then there is no hope... he is angry.

  33. Either re-awaken A Detection Algorithm Now or Later ...either way it has to be done H. Richard Loeb something thats unavoidable..

  37. I keep coming back to this: As a species, we have eradicated some incredibly dangerous diseases. As scientists, we keep some of these 'on ice' -- stored, and available for study, but not in a place where they can harm people again or reach the world again.

ADA is apparently in this state right now -- docile, and not able to harm us. What's the rush to bring her back? What do the New Wave really want?

This also goes for people who seem to see a humanitarian argument (such as Hank Johnson) in her reboot. Maybe it's a good idea to bring her back -- but shouldn't we ensure she's defanged and harmless first? Running on an airgapped computing cluster under armed guard with no connection to the XM substrata -- not wild and running on the hot wetware of her would-be human slaves.

    ReplyDelete
  38. No! Just destroy ADA! This is madness!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Have we actually heard Hank Johnson say it himself, or just PAC relaying the information?

    ReplyDelete
  40. We haven't seen him in person for some time FiXato.

It's fair to be skeptical, since, uh, he does have a sort of thing where he gets abducted over and over.

Speaking of which, have we seen Susanna Moyer at all?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Last I heard was that she likely underwent the same fate as her late father... but again, hearsay.

Also, with the deus xm machina, anything can happen...

    ReplyDelete
  42. There were rumors she had gotten 'new skin' and in some way transformed on her journey.

It's just as likely Jahan ordered her murder just like Nigel Moyer was on her watch though.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bring back A Detection Algorithm now. Its better than having Shapers manipulate our minds.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think A Detection Algorithm is not asleep, not gone, not destroyed; merely silently awaiting appropriate timing for an entrance. If the ENL aim is to eliminate AI, then they should murder Jarvis, too. As it is, ADA's absence seems not to affect anyone.

    But how we miss her.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well I think.........................
