Much of last week centered around Jahan’s goals for the second set of Aegis Nova Anomalies on June 25th, but in the end, those plans were dust. The Enlightened claimed the June 25th Anomalies by a large margin, and now Jahan’s only hope is to prevent the Enlightened from using the Tokyo XM Anomaly to launch their attack against the AI. With no weapon to use against Jarvis, the most she can hope for is to succeed on defensive grounds.

  1. When you take a swing at Jarvis, you get rekt.

  2. You kill Jarvis, he kills you right back, A Detection Algorithm.

  3. It's clear to me that the leaders of the Enlightened have been biding their time until there was a series of anomaly sites where conditions in a few key sites would be heavily weighted in their favor to unleash these plans and ensure their success. There is hope that the Japanese resistance can pull out a miracle... but considering history, it WOULD take a miracle. One can't depends solely on anomaly conditions, and other plans are afoot.

  4. With Tokyo being worth 5 points, the RES cannot recover enough to win this anomaly series.

  5. This is pretty much exactly what happens when the majority of sites are in Enlightened-dominant areas and scoring is reworked such that Resistance-dominated satellite sites, global shards, and MU can't balance it out.

It took a while but Niantic finally figured out how to adjust scoring such that the Resistance cannot win. Well done.

  6. What would be the qualification for ENL dominated?  Septicycle?  Weekly ground play?  Total players?  Sounds like higher ups just basically rage quit San Diego.

  7. Daniel Lawrence according to a post I read; Smurf leadership took cyanide pills and told everyone "GFY, we are going to the bar to catch pikachu" after the point spread was over 500 (or maybe 1000).

When my squad arrived at a smurf target everyone in blue retreated except for 5 smurfs, of which, only two were defending. Much tears were spilt.

  8. Bryant Durrell did they officially transfer ownership to us for that hashtag? :0)

  9. Jeremy Sylvis your statement is false. Check the portalcounts from all sites and come back again. It seems you just suck at anomaly's😉

  10. Never fails--the losers will always find some very good reason why they lost, which never has ANYTHING to do with team performance. Jeremy Sylvis thinks the fault is with Niantic. Why does this sound just like a kid claiming "Mom likes you better?" Come on people; there is no rational reason for Niantic to favor either faction. While reports may be exaggerated, there is enough evidence to suggest that Res leadership completely let down their faction and deserted a sinking ship without doing anything to save it.

  11. Ground teams themselves held out pretty well considering how we were outnumbered. Still... I feel like it could've been better.
I just hope A Detection Algorithm manages to survive whatever Jarvis is doing to her right now. We couldn't protect her. And while I'm very saddened and angered at the death of Nigel Moyer, I can't help but feel something similar is now happening to our little AI...
A loss in Tokyo might completely destroy her if she's even still alive. To win there, for the Resistance though... You guys are right. It would take a miracle.

  12. Let be honest, ADA won't be killed if ENL wins Tokyo. She will be forked and we will get two ADAs or something stupid like shards.

  13. From what I can tell, the Jarvis that currently exists can still affect things because his pattern exists in the Ultimate. A Detection Algorithm was cut off from the N'zeer substrate, her version of the same, and with Jarvis's pattern scouring the Ultimate for her, where could she possibly escape to? She's already holed up pretty deep in the Internet, and if she's been affected there...

  14. Mike Morris it was our whine originally, I'm taking it back! (From a SD agent no less, so this is poetic.)

  15. The Enlightened will invariably control this sword. All the Resistance can hope to do is mitigate the damage that it will do.
Resistance agents, we must prevent Aegis Nova from bringing too much destruction with a victory in Japan.

  16. Jeremy Sylvis Welcome to our world! Between 13Magnus and Obsisian the sites where 'in favor' of the Resistance. We came to every anomaly even if it was obvious that we will lose.
You will have enough chances to win again, don't worry :-)

  17. Yik Sheng Lee And that's why I shouldn't blink as story goes by... Hahaha
But then, if the research is with them, I would think over the course of the next month with Ada out of commission, Oliver's just going to flip again and go back to the Acolyte to further his research. What else is he going to do, give up?

  18. Martin Zehetmayer Hehe, at some point all of us are #suppost2win, it's just not our time right now, lol

  19. Yik Sheng Lee Ah, that makes much more sense.
Well, let's hope Ada isn't totally dead yet. That put it in perspective. Yes, there has to be a way to safely use the Aegis Nova to halt Jarvis. At the very least, even if that research is gone, we can make sure Ada and Klue are alright.
