Resistance Agents,
We must claim the Aegis Nova Anomalies on June 25th. The Enlightened have an advantage: By probing Klue's mind, Jarvis has gained access to critical information about ADA... her most secret vulnerabilities. The Acolyte intends to use this knowledge to incapacitate, perhaps even destroy ADA.
We have one chance to stop this: If I can gain access to Nigel Moyer's research using the energy from the #AegisNova Anomalies, I will be able to transform the #AegisNova shield into a highly focused and powerful XM weapon -- a weapon capable of stopping Jarvis and foiling the Acolyte's ill-conceived plans.
Nigel Moyer may have passed, but his memories remain within the Portals -- inside the substrate known as the Ultimate. I intend to access these memories in order to learn how to transform the Aegis Nova shield.
ADA represents our best path into the future, one where technology and information empower, improve and equalize human society. We must achieve victory on Saturday.

This would be a very good time to hear from Klue S. herself. She's at the centre of this and has the most intimate relationship of anyone with ADA. How does she feel about both the Acolyte and Jahan in their endeavours?

NOW the plan is that they are going to read into the fabric XM to steal the very stuff of this man's soul to build a weapon.
Will this weapon help humanity?
No.
It will be used to protect an artificial intelligence which has murdered, which has lied, and which has tried to parasitize our minds to host its computational infrastructure. When that proved inadequate, it tried to induce a technological singularity by using the N'zeer substrate.
When it was foiled by the Enlightened from this dreadful apotheosis, it licked its wounds, only to attack and kill human beings so that it could get closer to the corpse of the man it ordered assassinated in Zurich.

Not a word of remorse, Jahan? Your puppet, Antoine Smith, is responsible for Nigel Moyer´s death! Don´t you feel any regret? Obviously not. Your statement literally makes me want to puke. I´m more than glad that I won´t be participating in any of Aegis Nova´s anomalies. I couldn´t imagine helping you and your cause. The blood of Nigel Moyer is on your hands, Jahan. The Resistance deserves a better figurehead than a common criminal.

ReplyDeleteDoes no one remember ADA's origins as a tool of the surveillance state? It's not surprise she ended up where she is.
But if the Resistance really wants to use technology to make humans better, maybe ADA is not exactly the poster child for that, you know?

Yik Sheng Lee Thank you for expressing what I am trying to achieve with my postings and by founding "Ingress - The freedom fighters." With both factions led by extremists, however, there´s only one chance to come to a better way to work with XM: The sometimes dreaded, but nearly inevitable founding of a third faction. Hank Johnson toppling the Acolyte or Devra Bogdanovich taking Jahan´s place seems too far-fetched now.

ReplyDeleteFirst Aegis Nova is not really a "weapon" it's more of a power source. We already know that Roland Jarvis used the Aegis Nova on Klue S..
Next both team's have leaders the Res has ADA and the Enl have the Shapers/Jarvis. Jahan is not the leader of the Res.
It's also unclear right now what the Enl is doing to Klue. To me it seems like they are trying to brain wash her and get her to do things that she does not want to do.
I doubt this was Jahan's statement Yik Sheng Lee - We have seen A Detection Algorithm try to deceive us before by imitating third parties. I would like to hear and see a transcript of this conversation. May be we should try to determine if it's genuine or not. Luckily for you, the Resistance knows Ada absolutely must be protected. How absolutely convenient. However, expect to answer for Nigel Moyer.
