I've spend most of this past week trying to follow up on the repercussions of the Enlightened victory at the first Aegis Nova Anomalies.
What we knew going in was that the Acolyte wanted to use the XM energy generated by an Enlightened win to launch a plan against ADA. Jarvis was going to reach into Klue's mind and find subconscious patterns left there by the AI. Those patterns, in theory, could be used to discover ADA's weaknesses and develop an attack against her.
Based on a few different pieces of information we found this week, it seems the plan was a success.

Susanna announcing that she has a decryption key in no way protects Nigel. Sodium Pentathol, you know. And we know that there are other ways of reaching into someone's mind and ripping out the required information. Ask Klue about that, if she still has enough wits left to form a complete thought.

I hope ADA has left some surprises for Jarvis in Klues mind.
So ... what if Jarvis has fried Klue's mind and her only hope of being made whole is a "bare metal recovery" from a backup stored inside ADA....
ReplyDeleteI would be horrified depending on the degree to which ADA obtained consent to such a backup.
ReplyDeleteBryant Durrell and what if ADA balked at restoring Klue because she'd be vulnerable to Jarvis' attack?
ReplyDeleteThat would be irrelevant to the question of consent. But anyone can spin hypotheticals that make their chosen deity look good all day. "What if ADA had a backup but she didn't know she had it because Klue put it there?" Ultimately it's futile speculation.
